Little Chefs: Woodland Critter Toast

Take morning toast to the next level with these super adorable designs that are easy to make. Perfect for children who love fruit or to trick children into eating fruit!

Ingredients

For fox:
  • Cream cheese
  • Nut butter (peanut, almond, etc.)
  • Banana
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
For bear:
  • Nut butter (peanut, almond, etc.)
  • Banana
  • Blueberries
For owl:
  • Cream cheese
  • Banana
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Almond

Instructions

Fox:

1. Toast the bread.

2. Spread nut butter of your choice into a inverted triangle in the middle of your bread.

3. Cover the remainder of the bread in cream cheese.

4. Slice strawberry and add to slices for ears.

5. Slice banana and add two slices for eyes.

6. Finish off with three blueberries for the eyes and nose, placing the nose blueberry at the point of your inverted triangle. (You could also use raisins.)

Bear:

1. Toast the bread.

2. Spread with nut butter of your choice (for a darker bear you can use Nutella)

3. Slice banana. Add banana slices for the ears and nose.

4. Place the blueberries in the center of the banana for a nose and on each side for the eyes.

Owl:

1. Toast the bread.

2. Cover with cream cheese.

3. Slice banana. Add banana slices for eyes.

4. Add two blueberries to the bananas for pupils.

5. Slice strawberries and add to the bottom half of your toast for owl wings and feathers.

6. Finish off with an almond for a beak. (We used a yellow Fruity Pebble.)
