Come compete in a bayside battle of the creative! Participants go shovel to shovel at Hole-in-the-Wall Beach to take first place. Prizes are awarded to the top participant(s) in each category. Free to enter. Pre-registration (see below) required by July 17, 2026 at 6pm.
Competition Categories
Jellyfish
For Ages 12 & Under
Please Note: Adults may help children transport water to their plot and collect sand, but cannot help in the construction of the castle/sculpture.
Seaside Squad
For Families or Teams with Adults & Children
Poseidon Party
Adult or Teen Only Teams
Competition Rules
- Only native beach materials may be used.
- Must bring your own tools. No power tools.
- Group is limited to 7.
- Must stay within your assigned lot.
- Cannot start before 8am.
- This is a fun family contest, so nothing risqué or political is allowed.
- Sand may not be added or removed from the designated plot.
- Water may be added.
- No coloring paint, flour, sugar, starch, cement, glue or adhesives allowed.
