Join us for a special evening free for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. During the event, the Museum will be made more welcoming to our more sensitive guests, along with having some quiet corners and sensory bins set-up throughout the facility. Children will be able to choose what activities they would like to participate in and do them at whatever time they feel most comfortable within the two-hour time frame. Documentation of diagnosis is not required.
Evening Theme: Space
Participants will launch into outer space and have the chance to make craters in moon sand, make a constellation viewer, make their own constellation picture, do a rocket experiment, play with our inflatable planet balls and much more!
Documentation of diagnosis is not required. These events are funded by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation.
Masks are optional for children with sensory issues, but are required for the remainder or the party.
