Sensory-Friendly Evening: Superhero Day

February 19, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST

Free

This event is currently at capacity. Please call 860-691-1111 to be put on the waiting list.

Join us for a special evening, which is free for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. During this event, the Museum will be made more welcoming to our more sensitive guests, along with having some quiet corners and sensory bins set-up throughout the facility. Children will be able to choose what activities they would like to participate in and do them at whatever time they feel most comfortable within the two-hour time frame. Documentation of diagnosis is not required.

It’s Superhero Day at the Museum! Dress as your favorite superhero and come help keep the Museum safe! Participants will do experiments related to super powers and have the chance to decorate superhero masks and magic wrist cuffs.

Free to attend. Pre-registration is required below.

Funded by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation.
