Sensory-Friendly Evenings at the Museum
October 23, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm EDT
Free
Join us for two special evenings this fall (Sept. 25 & Oct. 23), which are free for families with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. During these events, the Museum will be made more welcoming to our more sensitive guests, along with having some quiet corners and sensory bins set-up throughout the facility. Children will be able to choose what activities they would like to participate in and do them at whatever time they feel most comfortable within the two-hour time frame. Documentation of diagnosis is not required.
Art Day – October 23
Participants will have fun experimenting with a variety of art modalities including paper crafting, collage, painting, gluing and modeling clay.
Documentation of diagnosis is not required. These events are funded by the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation.
