Summer Science Days: Construction Engineering
August 7, 2017 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm EDT
An event every day that begins at 11:00 am, repeating until August 11, 2017

A summer filled with science, learning and wonder. We’ll be exploring a different science each week from July 3 to August 25. Come learn with us!
Let’s get building! This week is full of physics concepts such as force and motion, gravity, and simple machines. Children will have the opportunity to build a marshmallow tower strong enough to hold weight, construct a marble roller coaster, and learn about the wheel and axle by making their own Life Saver car!
Design briefs and common items are provided to challenge guests to engage in problem solving and critical thinking as they complete a task. Visitors will explore Newton’s Laws of Motion through the Museum’s Create a Chain Reaction Kit. Let’s not forget about creating a Lego masterpiece and even build a shelter from our Museum Thinker Linkers!
There are tons of opportunities to build and explore this week!
All activities free with Museum admission.
