Summer Science Days: Electricity & Magnetism Week

August 1 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm EDT

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:30 am, repeating until August 4, 2023

Join us for a summer filled with science, learning and wonder. We’ll be exploring a different science each week in July and August with demonstrations and hands-on activities. All activities are FREE with Museum admission thanks to the generosity of Pfizer, with free books available thanks to the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation.

Electricity & Magnetism Week:
This sizzling program explores the power of electricity and magnetism through Snap Circuits, magnetic rings and more! Visitors will experience electricity in action through our exciting Van de Graaff generator demonstrations. We’ll even try to harvest electricity from everyday foods! Guests will also have the chance to experiment and build with magnets along with creating their own magnet craft to take home.
