EnviroScape® Coastal
Using the EnviroScape® Coastal Model, students learn about point and non-point sources of pollution and the effects on the ocean and coastal communities. Students experience the effects of pollution including above ground pollution through simulated rain experiments, as well as groundwater contamination through observing leaking underground storage tanks. Students also participate in an oil spill simulation and attempt to clean up an “animal” affected by the oil spill.

EnviroScape® Waste Management and Recycling
Using the EnviroScape® Waste Management Model, students learn how waste management practices and landfills of today are designed to manage the long-term disposal of solid waste (trash).  Through interactive demonstrations, students compare the old style, illegal dumps to the newer landfills that are designed to prevent harm to the environment, including  ground, water, and air. Students also participate in a recycling activity, in which they learn how to determine if items can be reused, recycled, or composted.

EnviroScape® Watershed/Nonpoint Source
Using the Watershed/Nonpoint Source EnviroScape®  Model, students explore point and non-point sources of pollution. This hands-on activity allows students to experience the effects of pollution and discuss conservation methods. Students participate in a water filtering activity in an attempt to clean polluted water as well.

EnviroScape® Wetlands
Using the EnviroScape® Wetlands Model, students learn how wetlands function. They explore how wetlands reduce the rate of flooding and erosion, hold pollutants, and provide habitats for birds and other animals. They learn how wetlands improve the quality of our water and discover what they can do to help conserve wetlands. Students also play our Museum Wetland Game to help them understand the importance of wetlands.
